We are presently recruiting for the following opportunity:

Human Resources Assistant (Vancouver International Airport)

The HR Assistant is to be a key point of contact for the human resources department providing effective and timely administrative support. Assisting in the daily operations for the Human Resources department, the HR Assistant supports in the processing of new employees, and the maintenance of confidential employee information. This position requires someone with top notch skills in organization and prioritizing tasks.  A detail and solution oriented person will excel in this environment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, but not limited to:
•Performing front line customer service to new employees
•Responsible for clerical duties related to the Human Resources department including filing, mail outs and other tasks as required
•Organize and maintain key processes in new employee onboarding and orientation including the swift security clearances, background checks, employment contracts, benefit details, tax forms and other pertinent information.
•Assists in the input, maintenance and organization of all employee details
•Assists in the distribution, organization, filing and mailing of vacation and benefit information.
•Maintaining complete and confidential employee and recruitment files
•Liaise daily with the Human Resources team to assess and respond to administrative support requirements.
•File progress and maintenance of WCB claims according to legislated timelines
•The maintenance of employee files and information data input

•College Diploma or Postsecondary Certificate in related business skills
•A minimum of 1-2 years of progressive responsibility in administration assistance, within a Human Resources Department.
•Strong skills in records management
•Payroll and benefit experience is an asset
•Experience in the assistance of administering policies
•Flexible, versatile and thrives in a fast paced changing work environment
•Ability to communicate effectively at a professional level
•attention to detail and confidentiality.
•Excellent interpersonal, time management, problem solving and organizational skills.
•Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Mail Merge and Outlook programs
•Candidates must be able to be security cleared to Secret level.
